Fjord Line is a modern and public-mined shipping company focusing on safe and pleasant transportation between Central Europe to Norway. The passenger vessel „MS Bergensfjord“ is operating between Hirtshals on the northern tip of Denmark and the cities Stavanger (Risavika) and Bergen on the spectacular West coast of Norway.
Fjord Line was founded in 1993 and the „MS Bergen“ (later changed to the vessel MS Fjord Norway) was operated between Hanstholm (DK) and Egersund/Haugesund/Bergen.
In 1995 Fjord Line was taken over from the transport company Bergen Nordhordland Rutelag (BNR). In the year 1998 line between Bergen and Newcastle and the ship MS Jupiter was bought from Color Line.
In autumn 2008 Fjord Line adjusted the routing according to the new market realities and moved from Hanstholm in Denmark to Hirtshals. Further is Stavanger (Risavika) the new harbor on Norways West coast instead of Egersund and Haugesund.
Fjord Line has its headoffice at Skoltegrunnskaien in Bergen. At present Fjord Line operates the vessel MS Bergensfjord.
