Superfast Ferries
General information
Welcome to Superfast Ferries
Superfast Ferries, the youngest and fastest fleet, welcomes you on board for an unforgettable travelling experience.
We, at Superfast, have one goal: to offer you services that exceed your expectations. We aim to offer what we call the Superfast Experience: a well-thought, standardized quality service which our customers can enjoy the same way throughout our modern fleet--the youngest and fastest in Europe--a service that ensures good value for your money.
The Superfast vision began to materialize in 1995 with the deployment of the first pair of pioneering German-built car passenger ferries Superfast I and Superfast II, on the Patras-Ancona route reducing travelling time from 36 to 20 hours and setting new standards in maritime transport between Greece and Italy.
Today, Superfast Ferries operates four ultra-modern car-passenger ferries, offering daily connections from the Greek ports of Patras, Igoumenitsa and Corfu to the Italian ports of Ancona and Bari, holding the number one position in the transportation of passengers for nine consecutive years.
As of 2002, Superfast Ferries also operates the only ferry link between Scotland and Belgium, connecting the port of Rosyth in Scotland to the port of Zeebrugge in Belgium. This route, as of the beginning of 2007, is operated by Blue Star 1, the Group's other subsidiary company, Blue Star Ferries, in a code share service with Superfast Ferries.
Superfast Ferries vessels are certified under the International Safety Management Code (ISM), related to the provisions of SOLAS for the protection of human life at sea, and the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000. Auditing and certification as per ISO 9001:2000 was carried out by ABS Quality Evaluations, a highly respectable organization and member of the international American Bureau of Shipping Group (ABS). Certification under ISO 9001:2000 constitutes recognition of the high level of services offered by our Group.
Superfast Ferries is a 100% subsidiary of Attica Group which is listed on the Athens Exchange and is the parent company of Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries.
In 2004, Attica Group, was voted Best Passenger Line of the Year in Lloyds List Greek Shipping Awards.
In 2006, Blue Star Ferries was voted Best Passenger Line of the Year in Lloyds List Greek Shipping Awards.
Once you travel with Superfast Ferries, our hope and aim is that you will always want to return for yet another Superfast Experience.
